Who operates GigLink
GigLink is operated by The Smash Room in Telford, United Kingdom. For privacy questions, contact bookings@giglink.uk.
Information we collect
We collect the information you provide when you create an account or profile, including your name, email address, artist or venue details, location, photos, availability, booking information, messages, support requests and other content you choose to submit. We also receive limited technical information such as device type, browser, page activity and error details needed to operate and protect the service.
How we use it
We use this information to authenticate you, provide profiles and listings, connect artists with venues, manage enquiries and bookings, deliver account notifications, moderate submissions, prevent misuse, provide support and improve GigLink.
Public information
Information deliberately published in an artist, venue, gig or services profile can be visible to anyone. Login credentials, private messages, unpublished drafts and private booking details are not made public.
Service providers and payments
GigLink uses Supabase for customer authentication and marketplace data, Railway for backend services, and OpenAI Sites/Cloudflare for website hosting and application data. Account and service emails may be delivered through our email provider. Where venue subscriptions are available, the web version uses PayPal. PayPal processes payment details under its own privacy policy; GigLink does not receive or display full card details.
Retention and security
We keep information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Access is restricted and reasonable technical safeguards are used, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can update profile information in your account. You may ask for access, correction or deletion by using the GigLink account deletion page or emailing us. Some records may be retained where required by law, for fraud prevention, or to establish or defend legal claims.
Children
GigLink is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us.
